Hey, so remember how I’ve been saying stuff like “the first two years are going to be hard, and Obama is going to do some things you don’t like, so remember how you feel now and try and support him then?” This is the kind of shit I was talking about. The last two Democratic presidents came in with a team of outsiders who vowed to shake up Washington, and guess what? All their major domestic policy initiatives failed! Obama has picked someone that can get his agenda actually enacted. If you would like to see universal health care in America within our lifetime, you should be happy about this pick. Politics is dirty and involves two sides arguing about issues. Deal with it. I’d rather have the guy who can win the argument on my side.
Plus, you know, Republicans complaining about divisiveness is like a skunk complaining about your smelly shoes, but whatever.
