I have to put together a costume for the departmental Halloween party tomorrow and I think I’m going to be Tom Wolfe, mainly because it will only require me to find a large white hat, a cane, and a pocket square—with the added benefit that I will then own a large white hat, a cane, and a pocket square. I am a little worried, however, that people will think I’m trying to be a “pimp.”  Well, it’ll be a good way of determining who I do and don’t want to be friends with, I suppose.
