Socially conservative Americans, having previously decided to worship a literal interpretation of the Bible without really understanding what the Bible means (or why it shouldn’t be taken literally) are now engaging in literal idolatry by worshipping the Constitution as a thing rather than a set of ideas. Doesn’t that violate at least two commandments, guys?
