switzerblog-deactivated20120222 asked: Nope, the 9th circuit ruling was very narrow. The ruling was that an *existing* right was removed by the referendum. In this case, the law (and therefore, the right) will not be in effect prior to the referendum, so no right would be removed should the referendum pass. In effect, it would be codifying the status quo, a circumstance which the 9th circuit specifically declined to speculate about. Yesterday's ruling won't be relevant. Sorry to be a stick-in-the-mud! :D
