When I first heard “Videogames” (I had to look it up on youtube a month or so ago to see what Carles was talking about) it felt like an indie Adele to me. I thought that was enough capital to just move on, as I’m not a fan of Adele. I liked the song though, and I knew, deep down, she didn’t hit the same chord with me as Adele did. After reading this article I realized that the real trigger it hit for me was this. lol and all. But when I saw that as a child on Broadway, on my first trip to NYC (my first time in a city), that was the first good memory I have after my sister died. Which really sucked. It was right before I fell in love with a girl for the first time. I spent a year after that drawing pictures of Mr. Mistofolles with my Mom. I mean “Videogames” can’t reduce me to tears or anything, I’m just trying to explain what it tickeld.
